GASTRO INTESTINAL REFLUX DISEASE (GERD)

Gastrointestinal, Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD), gastric reflux disease, or acid reflux disease is defined as chronic symptoms or mucosal damage produced by the abnormal reflux in the esophagus.

One in 10 Americans experiences heartburn symptoms at least once a week. Heartburn has different triggers, including certain foods, medications, obesity, or even stress. Acid reflux is common, but chronic acid reflux (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease) can become a real problem.

At the entrance to the stomach is a valve called lower esophageal sphincter (LES). The LES should close as soon as food enters the stomach so that no food can splash back up into the esophagus, however, if the LES does not close properly or if it opens often, stomach acid can move into the esophagus and cause heartburn. There are various causes including hiatal hernias, eating foods containing high amounts of acid (citrus, coffee, tomato, chocolate, or spicy or fatty foods), and drinking alcohol.

Typically, GERD is treated with prescription or over the counter medications. These prescriptions can have side effects such as nausea, headache, diarrhea, gas, bloating, constipation, and stomach pain. Cannabinoids can be effective against these side effects, but it can also improve acid reflux in general.

It has been found that “Activation of cannabinoid receptors (CB(1), CB(2) and GPR(55)) produces analgesic effects in several experimental pain models, including visceral pain arising from the gastrointestinal tract” in one study at AstraZeneca R&D Mölndal in Sweden.

At the Department of Experimental Pharmacology at the University of Naples in Italy also conducted research on gastrointestinal problems: “Salvinorin A, the active component of the hallucinogenic herb Salvia divinorum, inhibits intestinal motility through activation of kappa-opioid receptors (KORs). However, this compound may have target(s) other than the KORs in the inflamed gut. Because intestinal inflammation upregulates cannabinoid receptors and endogenous cannabinoids, in the present study we investigated the possible involvement of the endogenous cannabinoid system in salvinorin A-induced delay in motility in the inflamed gut.” The study concluded, “The inhibitory effect of salvinorin A on motility reveals a functional interaction between cannabinoid CB(1) receptors and KORs in the inflamed-but not in the normal-gut in vivo.”

As you know we will be putting out public announcements as we proceed with new developments and our "inside info" becomes public.

"Cannabis Science Conferences" that action costs money as well to proceed, they have been using our name for years now and we've sent them plenty of warning letters.

EVERYTHING COSTS MONEY to move forward in this pubic company world.

"We are still waiting on the exchange to review more data we sent them, I spoke to them last on this last Friday."

Great questions however, our "Success Speed" moving forward is based on "raising capital to apply to operations strength and resources" just like any other Company.

Raymond, thank you so much for your response. I do understand that this whole process being undertaker costs a huge amount of $$$. At every turn of a corner that you take someone has their hand out. So I recognize the need for fundraising; BIG TIME. But, since Cannabis Science is NOT a Charity; all donations are not a tax deduction. Therefore you must solicit for the purchase of the Rule 144 Restricted shares. As is known, you do have a loyal following. However, you can't keep going to the same well.

On November 8, 2023; Capizate, Inc. (a 3rd party entity) reported a "Situation Analysis of GBXi" that it performed at GBXI's request; based upon 25 documents provided by GBXI; mostly pertaining to Cannabis Science, Inc. This report included listing: (a) Strengths, (b) Areas for Improvement, (c) CBIS Cancer Drug Valuation(s) [1 specifically], (d) as well as several additional items that supported it giving GBXI a Capitize Score = 623 out of a possible 1000. Getting the potential CBIS Drug Valuation(s) for just 1 drug @ 25Mil-29Mil is/was impressive; however the "Areas for Improvement" are significant:

1. The business documents, agreements, term sheets, engagements are all dated in 2017-2018 and need to be updated.
2. Ownership and control of the intellectual property needs to be defined and confirmed.
3. A similar entity has active registration with California Secretary of State. The Company has a different address than on the Company website and also had a Statement of Info due to the California Secretary of State on 05/10/2023. Registered with the California Secretary of State as a Non-Profit Nonprofit Corporation - CA - Mutual Benefit. This will need to be defined.

Can you please let us know about the progress that has been made toward resolving these issues?? Even if you could reveal an estimated % complete for each line item that would be nice to see.

The report from November 8, 2023 says:  "Your current phase in our process is phase three (Situation Analysis), four (Due Diligence Score), and five (Business Finance Documents – Specifically the analysis) the potential valuation" - out of a 7 phase process; (6) Capital Markets and (7) Post Capitalization. Even if you choose not to continue to use Capitize, Inc. any longer; these "Areas of Improvement" listed MUST BE addressed in order to bring CBIS back Trading again.
